UF Gameday Road Closures: What Closes and When
Two deadlines govern every Florida home Saturday. Miss them and you walk a lot farther than you planned.
Five hours before kickoff
- Gale Lemerand Drive north of Museum Road requires a parking pass.
- The Stadium Road extension from Newell Drive to 13th Street closes to vehicles (tailgating in that area is still allowed).
Three and a half hours before kickoff
These close to vehicular traffic until the game ends:
- Gale Lemerand Drive between University Avenue and Stadium Road
- Stadium Road between Gale Lemerand Drive and Fletcher Drive
- University Avenue between Gale Lemerand Drive and NW 17th Street (Buckman Drive)
UF publishes two different times. Its football parking page says three and a half hours before kickoff, until the end of the game. Its 2026 game-week posts (for example Florida-FAU) say three hours before kickoff, until two hours after the game. Every "be parked by" time on this site uses three and a half hours, the earlier of the two. Plan for the roads to stay shut for up to two hours after the game.
Also permanent now: Fletcher Road's northern portion is one-way northbound, so there is no turning south onto it from University Avenue.
What this means for where you park
Anything you book - lot, garage, or driveway - only works if you can reach it before the barricades. A reserved driveway outside the closure ring means you park on a residential street that never closes and walk in. See the stadium parking guide for which neighborhoods sit outside the ring, or pick your game on the 2026 schedule.
