Your clock for October 10
Kickoff falls in a TV window (12-1 p.m. ET) and isn't locked in until network picks are set, so plan against the earliest time in that range. Working backward from the front of that window:
- Be parked by 9 a.m. if kickoff lands at 12 p.m. Three hours before kickoff UF barricades the streets around the stadium until the game ends.
- 7 a.m. is the earlier squeeze. Five hours out, Gale Lemerand north of Museum Road goes pass-only and the Stadium Road extension closes.
If the network picks a later slot, every time above moves back with it. The full closure list is in the road closures guide.
South Carolina weekend
This is UF's Homecoming game, a tradition first celebrated in 1916. The Homecoming parade steps off at noon the day before, Friday October 9, and its organizers bill it as the largest student-run parade in the nation. The Gator Growl pep rally, the Gator Gallop, and the Athletic Hall of Fame induction banquet all land the same weekend.
So this is two days of traffic, not one. Friday evening around campus is its own event, and anyone driving in for the weekend is competing for space from Friday afternoon onward. If you need a spot, this is the date to book furthest ahead.
Kickoff falls in the early window between noon and 1, so the barricades go up mid-morning and the tailgate window is short. If you're used to leaving after lunch for a Florida home game, this is the date that catches people out.
Florida leads the all-time series 31-10-3 and has won the last four meetings at home.
